The teaching, fitted to your room
What does your own room look like from the other side of the wall?
Peers, sponsors and the people they walk with.
Pastors and the people who open the church door.
The people who treat the body and see the rest.
A half-day staff training on the population that three systems fail at once: medicine, the faith community and peer recovery. It shows why the failure is structural rather than individual, and it gives a team one shared language for the person all three miss.
It is not clinical instruction, and it is not a sermon. The rooms of recovery are sanctuary, and no fellowship is named.
No ministry and no nonprofit is ever asked to pay. Their funders carry it.
“How can Federal policies and programs be improved to mitigate the stigma against Americans seeking addiction treatment and recovery?”
“How can HHS strengthen its ability to evaluate the effectiveness of substance use and mental health prevention, treatment, and recovery programs and initiatives?”
Request for information, Federal Register, 10 June 2026, document 2026-11602, questions 3 and 5.
The teaching takes up both. No agency has funded, reviewed or endorsed this work.
